Haemaji Park faces the sea on the East coast, which makes it a place to watch the sunrise over the sea and Geoje island.
This park is just off the main road. It is not a large park, but it does offer the classic Goseong style view of sea and mountains in a not-so-built-up area. Visitors from the Changwon/Masan area may enjoy the shorter drive to here than many of the other parks and areas in Goseong that are much farther west.
A wooden boardwalk lets you walk up to the cliff with a nice view of the sea and Geoje Island in the distance.
The park has a gazebo for picnics and taking a rest.
We came here all together with my son Noah October 29th, 2021, when the trees were a bit colorful. Noah always loved going on adventures, and he still does.
Noah met a nice lady who gave him a piece of candy and invited him to walk with her.
There are a pair of dinosaurs in the park, as if to remind people of some of the incredible places to find dinosaur footprints in Goseong.
There is a short path that leads to a café next to the park.
Overall this a nice little pullover spot to catch a view and/or to stop at a nearby café. It is a bit more convenient for folks closer to Changwon/Masan, or for those passing through the area with not a lot of time to spend. It is also a place to catch a sunrise, of course.
